Jerry Calvin Elkins, age 68, went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2022, after a battle with heart disease. He was surrounded by family that loved him dearly and that he loved back. Jerry was born in Manilla, Arkansas on June 7, 1954. He moved with his parents to California then back to Arkansas as a child. He served in the USMC from October 13, 1971 to October 12, 1975. He was very proud to serve his country. He loved all things to do with family. He loved his kids and all of his grandchildren and spent as much time as he could with them. His hobbies were fishing when he could and landscaping. He took pride in how well his yard looked and worked very hard on it.
He is preceded in death by his father, Mallie Elkins; his mother and step-father Mary and Otis Stephens; his brother Floyd Elkins; and his sister Debbie Shelton.
He has left behind his ex-wife Johnnie Elkins, to whom he was close with; daughter Valerie Davidson and husband Jerry of Mansfield, AR; son B.J. Anderton and wife Melisa of Mansfield, AR; son Lewis Elkins and wife Abby of Braintree, MA; grandchildren Jerrod Davidson and Kaitlynn Weaver both of Roland, OK; Anastasia Brigham of New York; Kyli, Tawna, and Jason Davidson of Mansfield, AR; Sabri, Shaylie, Brison, Bo, Briggs, Averi, and Banner Anderton of Mansfield, AR; great-grandchildren Maddy, Korbin and Lily Weaver of Roland, Ok and Katherine Davidson of Roland, OK. He also leaves behind many friends who loved him.
Services for Jerry Elkins will be on July 25, 2022 at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR at 9:00 am.
