He was born April 14, 1956 in Kendallville to Brance and Betty (Handshoe) Gibson.
Jerry was a DeKalb High School graduate and worked as a Tool and Die maker at Reliable Tool in Kendallville for over 40 years before retiring in 2017.
He married Valetta A Shippy on May 22, 1986 in Albion, Indiana and she died June 4 2022.
Jerry is survived by 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren,4 great grandchildren and 6 siblings, Millie Pierson of Avilla, Carol Gibson of Avilla, Linda Gibson of Syracuse, William Gibson of Auburn, Brance (Sue) Gibson of Edon, Ohio and Jeff (Jodi) Gibson of Kendallville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife sister, Madeline Burns and 3 brothers, Benton Gibson, Jaycee Gibson and Jack Gibson.
No services are planned at this time. Memorials can be given in memory of Jerry to the Corunna Volunteer Fire Department. Feller and Clark Funeral Home of Auburn is assisting the family with arrangements. To send condolences to the family visit www.fellerandclark.com.
