Jerry A. Gingras, 64, of Hubbardston, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 4, 2025.
Born in Winchendon, May 23, 1961, the son of the late Arthur Gingras, and his mother, Joanne (Martin) Gingras. Jerry was a "Jack of all trades," in his earlier years, a Machinist and Crane operator for General Electric in his later years gaining his welding and CDL licenses. Jerry retired in 2022 from working in General Electric for the past 25 years.
A member of the Hardwick Sportsman's Club, Jerry enjoyed hosting weekend gatherings with family and friends, filled with cookouts and time well spent around the bonfire. He enjoyed a wide variety of music from Ozzy and Motorhead to Frank Sinatra and Classical. He loved scouring yard sales with his wife in his spare time, always keeping a sharp eye out for potential tractors and musical instruments. Wherever Mom wanted to go he went.
Musical instruments were another of Jerry's great passions, and he found immense joy in surprising his grandchildren-who lovingly called him Bumpa-with them. Above all else, Jerry cherished spending time with his family, whom he held close to his heart.
Aside for his mother, Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia (Young) Gingras, of Hubbardston, with whom he shared a beautiful 46 years of marriage with; three daughters, Kristin Gingras and her fiancé Christopher Rice of Webster, Katie Arsenault and her husband Joshua of Gardner, Karin May and her husband Richard of Hardwick; a sister, Renay Bankowski and her husband Gerald of Templeton; eight grandchildren, Emilee, Diesel, Joanne, Suzanne, Krista, Brielle, Richard, and Julian; a cousin, Scott Gingras and his wife Jane (Young); he is also survived by four nephews, Gregory and Jeffrey Bankowski and their families and Michael and Jacob Gingras along with many Aunts, cousins, and many friends.
Aside from his father, Jerry is also predeceased by his father-in-law, Arthur Young, mother-in-law, Norma (Pervier) Young, and brother-in-law, Mark Young.
The family would like to thank Mercy Family Practice and Heywood Cardiology for their care and support over the years.
