How do I remember my brother Jerry. As a kid we would play chicken on our bikes, that is until he got his purple Schwinn bike. We delivered papers together. We made tuna fish cans that would rocket into the air with fire crackers. We made potato guns and launched many tennis balls into the air, we got in trouble for that. We slept outside most all of the summer. Watching Friday night theater on a 13 inch black and white tv.
We would float the Jordan River at least twice a summer just he and I. We climbed to the balance rock in Helper Utah. He looked at the rock and said to me, let´s go, we can make it, so I followed him. There were so many camping trips and pinenut gathering trips. Jerry was adventurous to say the least. I liked being with him.
Later we would go rabbit hunting and Eastering on the desert. Playing baseball with Easter eggs. Our annual 4 wheeler ride to Coal wash the day after Thanksgiving.
Jerry was a good cook as well. He made the best shrimp dip and his own cocktail sauces.
Jerry loved adventure. He loved accomplishing things that others said couldn´t be done. He could fix anything. His laughter was contagious.
I miss my brother Jerry.
Love ya.
