Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Johns will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Danny Warbington officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 5:000 until 7:00 p.m.at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Jerry was born July 8, 1947, in Winnfield, Louisiana and entered into rest with Jesus March 25, 2024, in Minden, Louisiana and will be missed by all who knew him. Jerry was raised in West Monroe, Louisiana, graduated high school in 1965. He was a mechanic by trade, owning Jerry’s Engine Service Repair Shop for over 25 years in Minden. He loved his Lord, family, friends, cats, dogs, (favoring Patches, a pit bull he rescued), motorcycles, race cars, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was well loved by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hurl and Thelma Johns, in-laws, James and Josephine Savell and his first wife, Wanda Johns.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Loli Savell Johns; sons, Darrell Johns (Ashley), Dawson Johns (Heather), Destry Johns, and Dusty Tucker (Niki); daughter, DeAnna Williams (Michael); sister, Debbie Janca (Chris);  several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Dillan Johns, Greg Johns, Natalie Johns (Seth), Kaydee Johns, Trey Yetman, Marissa Williams, (Michael) , Meaghan Williams, Dakota Williams, Drake Tucker, and Jase Tucker; and great grandchildren, Elena Johns, Hunter Layton, Brooklynn Woods, and Payton Wren.

Pallbearers will be Shad Sawyer, Destry Johns, Alan Myers, Dillan Johns, Robert Johns, Rusty Johnson, Donnie Johns.
