Jerry E. Kluck

Jerry E. Kluck, 84, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:59 am May 25, 2022 at Amita Health Care Hospital in Aurora, Illinois. He was born May 6, 1938 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Willis and Edrie (Lyle) Kluck. Jerry married Thelma (Martin) Kluck on February 7, 1959 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with thirty-five years of marriage before she preceded him in death on August 6, 1994.
Jerry is survived by daughters, Vickie Byers of North Aurora, Illinois, Jeanette Bonifas of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Sonya Reynolds and husband, Jeff of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Erick Byers, Todd Byers and wife, Taylor, Lindsey Lockwood and husband, WIlliam, Heather Bonifas, Kristin Bonifas, Bryan Reynolds, Ryan Bonifas; great-grandchildren, Trysten Lockwood, Tynzlie Lockwood, Quinn Byers, Brooks Byers; brother, Jimmy Kluck of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins;.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Kluck, Artie Kluck, Johnny Kluck, Joan Meeks, and Maxine Chapman and grandson, Michael Bonifas.
Jerry worked as a custodian for Mount Vernon Township High School for many years. He enjoyed nascar and fishing. Above all, Jerry loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm with Reverend Brian Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Jerry's honor to the charity of the donors choice.
