Jerry Lamont Thomas

JERRY LAMONT THOMAS III was born in Plainfield,
New Jersey on January 26, 1992, at Muhlenberg Hospital to Beulah
Thomas and Lamont Gill. He grew up in Plainfield, playing every sport
only to hate them as an adult. He came to know the Lord as a child
while attending Living Word Christian Fellowship in NJ. In 2017 as
an adult he rededicated his life to Christ at River of Life Church in
NC. He attended Redding Fleming Intermediate School before going
to Hunterdon Central Regional High School and graduated in 2010.
Upon graduating, he worked for McDonald's and Walgreens. At the
age of 20 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he
faithfully served his country for eight years. During his time of service,
he received several medals, badges, and ribbons. In 2018 he served a
tour in Iraq. He received a Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal
in 2017 for pulling a family out of their overturned vehicle.
On March 19, 2015, he married the love of his life, Brittane Foster.
From this union were born two beautiful children, Gabriel and Samara.
He loved spending time with his family, playing video games, riding
his motorcycle, and shooting guns at target practice. He was loved by
all who encountered his spirit and big heart. He was known for helping
and encouraging his fellow veterans.
On October 22, 2021, God called him to his heavenly home to be a
guardian Angel watching over his family.
His memory will forever live in the hearts of: his loving wife, Brittane
Thomas; son, Gabriel Thomas; daughter, Samara Thomas; mother,
Beulah Thomas; father, Lamont Gill; stepmother, Yanni Gill; brother,
Ethan Gill; sister, Elise Gill; maternal grandmother, Reba Thomas;
paternal grandfather, Lamont Rico Gill; uncles, Jerry Ray Thomas
and Rufus Thomas; his aunts, Sara Ann Goolsby, Laura Fleming, and
Eunice Spence; his in-laws, Shawn and Anita Foster, and Nicole Berry;
along with a host of cousins and friends.
