Jerry D. Lantzer

Jerry D. Lantzer, 77, of Graysville, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, in WeCare at Rolling Meadows in Waynesburg. He was born October 7, 1948, in Portola, Calif., a son of the late Harry and Margaret Donoho Lantzer. Jerry had been a resident of Greene County since 1982. He graduated from Ponderosa High School, Shingle Springs, Calif., in 1966 and went on to get his associates degree from De Anza College in Cupertino, Calif. Jerry married Arlene Teagarden September 6, 1969, and they were happily married for 56 years. He was self-employed, owning his own carpentry company, Lantzer Cabinets, for 33 years until he retired in 2015. Jerry served in the U.S. Coast Guard in Alameda, Calif. from 1968-1972. He was a photographer and enjoyed watching and taking photos of Motocross racing. Jerry was involved with District 5 and PAMX Motocross. His favorite racer was #98, his son Aaron. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Jennifer (Pat) Lantzer-Novak of New Freeport and Kristin (Bryan) McGinnis of Midway; two grandchildren, Elliana and Jackson McGinnis; and one brother, Fred (Carol) Lantzer of Grants Pass, Ore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Lantzer; and a sister, Carol Haynes. Friends and family will be received Friday, February 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., P.O. Box 434, Rogersville, PA 15359 (phone: 724-499-5181), where the funeral service will be held directly after, with Pastor Gary Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at Braddock Cemetery.
