Jerry Light Obituary
A graveside service for Jerry Light, 82, of Joshua, will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the DFW National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends prior to service from 10:00-11:00 AM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, Texas 76033.
Jerry was a kind and humble man. He was a gentle soul that would help anyone. He found peace in wood working, carefully shaping each piece with dedication and love. He loved his animals and was extremely dedicated to their welfare, as well as the welfare of every stray he fed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeddy and Mildred Light; sisters, Raynell Wiseman, Faye Duke, Maxine Jones, Pat woods, Carol Ash, and Debbie Warnock.
Jerry is survived by his sons, Ronnie (Donna) Light pf Cedar Bluff, AL, Lamar Light of Decatur, AL; daughter, Gail (Shane) Weedon of Kingston, Ga; sisters, Nancy Light, Roxie (Larry) Weesner, Liz (Jim) Bennet of Summerville, GA; Freddy McCrickard of Gaylesville, AL; brother, Billy (Debbie) Light of Chattanooga, TN; a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
