Jerry Clifford "Jerry" Lopez

Gerald Clifford Lopez, 81, of Hanford CA, died Sunday, August 3rd, 2025. "Jerry" Lopez, son of Clifford and Elva Lopez, husband of Marie Lopez, passed away on Sunday evening surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his children Shari (and Jim) Henderson, Karla (and Preston) Jones, and Chad (and Cynthia) Lopez-Gaspar, sisters Tish Smith and Tammie (and Joe) Correia, brother Tommy (and Kleo) Lopez, grandchildren Shawn (and Alex) Lopez, Kayla Styles, Landen Cutlip, Blake (and Magaly) Bursiaga, Sosten Bursiaga, Colten (and Kaitlyn) Henderson, and Brad (and Ashley) Henderson, great-grand children, Kaelynn, Ty, Toby, Forrest, Taylor, Lindsey, Dre, Zayden, and Carter, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
He graduated from Lemoore High School with the class of 1962.
Now we say goodbye to Jerry Lopez and honor a life that was full, rich, and unforgettable.
He was a man of faith and a genuine cowboy who was always happiest with a dog by his side and reins in his hand. He knew the land like the back of his weathered hands and was the very definition of strength and grit. He was a smartass with a grin, a prankster with perfect timing, and a constant joker who was always ready with a sharp one-liner, a well-timed joke, or a playful jab. He loved to tell stories and could make you feel like you were right there with him, riding beside him, living it all. He was a veteran who served with pride, a father, a grandpa, a proud great grandpa, and husband who loved his wife. He and Marie had a romance that covered more than 50 years, and will continue, now, for an eternity. He was an artist and a craftsman, turning wood, leather, paper and pencil into something meaningful and beautiful that could be passed down for generations.
So here's to the cowboy. The artist. The husband. The father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. The brother. The friend. We'll carry his stories and preserve his legend. We'll remember his love and pass down his lessons. And we'll keep standing tall, just like he taught us.
Your ride up to Heaven is done now Dad, so go ahead and hang up those spurs…you've earned the rest.
Out of respect for the family, there will be a private, invitation only, viewing followed by public graveside services through Phipps-dale Funeral Home at Lemoore Cemetery on August 19th, 2025, at 10am. A reception luncheon will follow.
