Jerry A. Method

Jerry A. Method, a lifetime resident of the Milford community, passed away peacefully at his home on February 3, 2024.  He was born on May 1, 1938, in Warsaw,the son of John W. Method and Mary Virginia Goshert Method. 

Jerry lived his whole life in the Milford area and attended Milford High School and graduated in 1957. It was during his time in high school that he crossed paths with Rosemary "Peg" Method. The two shared a special connection and were joined in matrimony on June 8, 1957. For more than sixty-six years, Jerry and Peg stood by each other's side, building a loving and enduring partnership that was interrupted by Peg's passing in December of last year. 

Shortly after graduating from high school, Jerry answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army. He embarked on this noble journey with honor and distinction honorably discharged from Fort Chaffee in Arkansas. 

Many would remember Jerry for the years he dedicated to Chore Time Brock. He retired from Quality Control after devoting his time and expertise to the company. Jerry's dependability and attention to detail were exemplary, and appreciated by his co-workers and supervisors alike. 

Jerry valued both his family and his faith in Christ above all else. He possessed a quiet yet unwavering devotion that served as an inspiration to those who knew him. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent with them. In the church he was involved in many ways, rarely without Peg at his side.

In addition, Jerry led an active lifestyle filled with various hobbies and interests. Outdoor activities brought him great joy, particularly shooting sports, time spent on the lake, horseback riding, and flying model planes. His passion for aviation extended beyond simple enjoyment – Jerry even obtained his private pilot's license.  Beginning in childhood, Jerry started a knife collection as a hobby.  He continued this hobby his whole life. 

Jerry's proudest moments revolved around time spent with family. Those who survive include three daughters: Julie Frew of Milford, Cathy (David) Stoffel of Syracuse, and Christine "Christy" (Brian) Hinderer of Pierceton; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his parents and his wife, Peg. 

Titus Funeral Home of Syracuse is entrusted with care of Jerry and the Method family. Visitors may gather at the Christian Church of Milford, 201 North Henry Street, Milford on Saturday, February 10, 2024  from 10a.m. to Noon. Beginning at Noon, a Life Celebration Funeral will be held. Later, Jerry will be buried at Milford Cemetery.
