Jerry John Pierce

Jerry Pierce, 82, of Barnsdall Passed away on Saturday 12/09/2023 in the early morning hours.
Jerry was born October 18, 1941 in Bartlesville, OK to John and Dorothy (Thompson) Pierce. His early life was spent in rural Washington County where his dad worked on various ranches. When he was in 8th grade the family moved to the Philson Ranch near Oglesby, managing that ranch for Philip R. Phillips.
Jerry attended school at Talala and later graduated from Oologah High School in 1960. After graduation he continued to work and live on the ranch. In March, 1962 he married Phyllis Haynes and they were blessed with 2 children, a son Michael and a daughter Crystal. He continued to work on the ranch when it was sold to the Smoke Rise Ranch in 1972. In 1978 he moved to Bartlesville and served as manager of the Washington County Fairgrounds. He returned to work on the Philson Farms south of Bartlesville, then later was employed as ranch foreman at Woolaroc Ranch until his retirement in 2006.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Pierce and his Sister Barbra Pierce.
Jerry is survived by his wife Sandra (Swan), Married November 21, 1992, of the home in Barnsdall. Two children by his first wife Phillis Woods. Son Micheal Pierce, and Crystal Pierce. Three stepchildren Michelle (Swan) and Ronald Smith of Okesa, (Gerald) Kevin and Gina Swan of Barnsdall, Jerrod and Holly Swan of Barnsdall.
16 Grandchildren Shawn Pierce, William Swan, Ashley (Miller) and O'Ryan Newton, Matt and Chelsea Miller, Drew and Cassie Swan, Hannah (swan) and Tyler Crawford, Allie (smith) and Matthew Savala, Gwendolyn Smith, Octavin Swan, Liberty McKinney, Kaylee Hope Smith and AJ Valentine, Bindi Swan, Miah Smith, Attalie McKinney, Nathan Smith, Jerramie Scott Smith, and Zebby Brayfield.
20 Great-Grandchildren include Karsen, Alianna, Aubrianna, Nathan, Nick, Macy, Colton, Draven, Marley, Hendrix, Blake, Oaklee, Dallin, Dayson, Natalie, Brodie, Raven, Jasper, Phoebe, and EverLee.
1 brother Johnny and LaRea Pierce of Copan, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Jerry will truly be missed by all the people he touched throughout his life, friends and family alike. He was a wonderful man that would never hesitate to give you a hard time if he liked you.
Grave side services will be December 29th at 11:00 am at Ethel Reece cemetery in Barnsdall Oklahoma, with a gathering after at the First Christian Church in Barnsdall Ok.
