Jerry Rice, 74, of Cumming, GA passed away November 7, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was born in Albany, GA to the late James and Katie Rice. Mr. Rice was a huge fan of the University Of Georgia sports and the family ask all who attend to please wear red, black or your UGA apparel to the services.
Jerry worked in the appliance industry for over forty years, starting in the warehouse and moving up to sales. He enjoyed coaching his kid's sports teams, golfing, fishing, camping and cooking. After retirement he loved spending time with his family including trips to the beach and lake with his wife, kids and grandkids. Jerry never met a stranger, had a big smile, big heart and big laugh.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Ruth Rice; Children, Michael & DeAnn Rice, Meredith & David Hutson, Tim & Lisa Rice, Jeff Rice, Richard & Tanya Rice; step son Josh Branham and his significant other Angela Adkins; brother and sister in-law, Dan & Maria Rice; 6 grandchildren, Kyle, Cihan, Kendall, Jason, Autumn, and Lauren. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Laura Herr officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends Monday, November 11, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 11:00 am until service time at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
