Jerry Lee Ricketts, age 80, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 21, 2025. He was born in Upton, Indiana on Tuesday, May 1, 1945, to the late Loren and Muriel Ricketts. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Coleman, brother, Loren Ricketts, along with a grandson, Bailey King.
Jerry was a member of Trinity Life Center for the past 17 years. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, his truck, and trips to Dairy Queen with his dog Brinkley. He especially enjoyed time with his family and his grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 58 years, Glenda Ricketts; his children, Rebecca King, Jeff Ricketts, Jerry Ricketts II (Tara) and Melissa Ricketts; his siblings, June Hooper, Bill Ricketts (Linda), Denny Ricketts (Debbie) and Sherri Goldsberry (Brad); his grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Ashton, Madison, Maxwell, Auburn and Alyx; 3 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Trinity Life Center 964 Highway 44 West Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Visitations will be Monday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
