Jerry Smith Obituary
Jerry L Smith, 87 of Fishers passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at his home. He was born on September 24, 1935, to Marion and Irene (Hollers) Smith in New Castle, Indiana.
Jerry attended New Castle High School and served in the United States Air Force. During his deployment in Blackpool England, he met his wife of 50 years, Jo (Moore). They married July 20, 1957, and had 3 daughters. They spent their time together traveling and building memories with their family. Jerry retired from Dana Corp. in 1988 from New Castle. In addition, Jerry was also an avid race fan, who worked for USAC and IRL for more than 20 years.
Jerry is survived by his 2 daughters, Terry (Dan) Dygert, of Fishers and Debbie Bos also of Fishers, 3 Granddaughters Krista (Ryan) Craig of Noblesville, Autumn Buck of Las Vegas, NV and Amber (Tim) Donahoe of Noblesville and 10 great grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Jo Smith, daughter Jenny Smith, his brother Gilbert Smith and his parents Marion and Irene Smith.
The Smith family has entrusted Indiana Funeral Care with Jerry’s care.
