Jerry Ross Traylor, 69, of Battle Creek, MI, peacefully departed this life on Monday, December 1, 2025. He was born on November 8, 1956, the son of Charles Traylor and Katherine Dukes.

Jerry lived a life rooted in love, strength, and connection. He often lived by the saying " It is what it is" a reflection of his steady and accepting nature. Jerry was united in marriage to Michele L. Poindexter, with whom he shared decades of love, partnership, and life experiences.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Michele Traylor; children, Jerrien, Jerron, Jermale, Jerree Traylor. Jerry also leaves to cherish his former wife, Lisa Traylor who they shared children, Quincy (Missy) Olds,

jerry (Nicole) Olds, DeKarlos Traylor. Jerry was a proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and a beloved uncle to many nieces. Ericka Traylor, Domonique Patton, Robynique Patton, Eirion Traylor, Nachelle Poindexter; nephews, Erick Traylor, Wade William Davis, and so many more who knew him best as "Uncle Jerry". Jerry shared a special bond with Max Poindexter that will forever be treasures. Jerry's words before departing were "Max, keep fighting your battle with cancer." He is also survived by his siblings, Terry (Deborah) Traylor, Joseph Traylor, Ralph (Pam) Traylor, Vicky Traylor, LuGenia Traylor, Julia Traylor, Shirely (Ronnie) Sweet, Roy Traylor; cherished in-laws, Mr. Leroy and Anita Poindexter; along with many brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy (Ebony G) Poindexter, Leisha (Robbie) Poindexter-Patton, Max (Brittany) Poindexter, and Anita (Rodger J) Poindexter; special son-in-law, Leroy Poindexter; special daughters, Lawanda and Latrice Crump; trusted friend to, D. Perkins; and a guiding presence to many.

Jerry touched countless lives as a companion, mentor, and leader. Professionally, Jerry dedicated 28 years to Musashi Auto Parts of MI, where he was admired for his work ethic, and humor when talking about his family. He was affectionately known as Jerry T, Uncle Jerry, and by many other loving names.

A celebration of life will be held on December 13, 2025 with memorial services conducted privately among family and friends.

Jerry's legacy lives on through the love he gave, the stories he shared, and the lives he touched. He will deeply be missed and forever remembered.
