Jerry left his earthly home to be with his Savior on January 1, 2026, at the age of 89. He was looking forward to making it to 90 and loved to say he was doing well and was blessed for someone almost 90. He was born at home in Hughes County, OK to Ralph and Ona White.
During Jerry's working career he owned an auto salvage business in Carlsbad, NM. He always enjoying tinkering with old cars. After moving to Clovis, NM for his Santa Fe Railroad job he worked his way up from a warehouse employee to being a train engineer. He also owned his beloved Red Barn for many years and managed to sell some "stuff" from time to time.
Serving the Lord was an integral part of his life. Church attendance and bible reading were truly Jerry's hobbies and what he loved to spend time doing.
He married Peggy Gilmer on October 8, 1959. He and Peggy had three children – Marsue Roush (Dean), Mark White (Henry) and Matthew White (Cherisse). He is also survived by one grandson, Nathaniel White and six siblings. His surviving siblings are Evelyn Bratcher, James White (Sandra), Paul White (Maria), David White (Paula), Stephen White (Donna) and Lois Dalton (Frank).
He was preceded in death by his parents; Ralph White, Ona White, and three siblings; Wesley White, Sharon Swort and Roy White.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Tabernacle in Clovis, NM on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 3 p.m.
