Jeryl L. White, 77, Martinsville, passed away at 1:51 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Indiana University Health Methodist in Indianapolis.
He was born on Saturday, September 20, 1947 in Greene County, Indiana, to the late William D. and Della Mae (Reed) White.
Jeryl was a machinist and welder and a member of New Life Christian Church in Paragon. Jeryl loved to watch football and basketball games. He particularly loved the Indianapolis Colts and IU Men's Basketball games. He cheered for them every year, win or lose. He loved to visit with anyone but especially loved it when the grandbabies came to visit. For the last year, he was a resident of Grand Valley Health and Rehab and loved living there. He enjoyed all the activities, visiting with friends and loved all the employees there. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and squirrels from his room.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wilma Jane (Ferguson) White, whom he married on June 9, 1967; children, Jeff White (Tracy) and Michelle Mae Weible; sister, Beth Parsons; grandchildren, A.J. Weible (Samantha), Michael Williams, Justin Weible (Melanie), Kaitlynn Weible Lester (Cody), Bridgette Weible (Dustin) and Shannon Webster; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Jeryl was preceded in death by his parents, William and Della; siblings, David Dewayne (DD) White and Anita Cooksey; son-in-law, Lonnie Weible; grandson, Lonnie Weible, Jr.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025 at New Life Christian Church, 2450 South Guy Road, Paragon, Indiana, with Pastor Darrell Ewing officiating. The visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Mt. Olive Fairview Cemetery.
