Jesse Lee Anderson was born March 14, 1946, and departed this life Sunday, October 26, 2025, reaching the age of 79 years. He was the son of the late Sterlie and Lena (Marcum) Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife, Janice Gann Anderson; one daughter, Becky Gann; and one grandson, Cale Burton. He is also survived by his siblings: Jeweline (Chuck) McDonnell, Linda (Barney) Jolley, Glenna (Greg) Carnes, Bobby (Lula) Anderson, and Glenn Anderson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Sterlie and Lena Anderson, he was preceded in death by: one sister, Ola Mae Crabtree; one brother, Rex Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Donna Anderson.

Jesse was of the Baptist faith and a long-time member of the Big Springs Baptist Church.

He retired from Shaw Carpet in Dalton, GA, after 25 years of employment, and owned a carpet-laying business for many years.

Jesse was always at his loving wife's side, whether they were doing yard work or watching television; they were together. He loved spending time with his family. He also loved playing music, especially country and bluegrass. Jesse was an excellent guitar and banjo player.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 3, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 3:30 pm in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
