Jesse P. Childers, age 77 of Canton, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 15, 1946 to the late Jesse Masaw and Marion (Paige) Childers, he was preceded in death by his wife Loretta (Gentilini) Childers. Jesse was a graduate of Germantown High School and then Temple University in Philadelphia. He was a member numerous sportsman's clubs. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time with his family, friends and dogs. He will be greatly missed by all of the lives he touched.
Jesse is survived by his children Jesse P. (Chrissy) Childers, Jr., Morgan (Len) Finelli, and grandson Jesse P. Childers III.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 23rd from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 24th at St. Mark's Episcopal Church (515 48th St. NW) at 10 a.m., with Fr. R. J. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to a few organizations that were near and dear to his heart; the Wounded Warrior Project or Mud Run Sportsman's Association located at 6400 Battlesburg Rd. Waynesburg, Ohio 44688.
