Jesse Dean Corbitt, a gentleman of compassion and love, was born on May 6, 1964, in Hugo, Oklahoma. Over the years, Jesse became a pillar of reliability and a beacon of inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He was fondly known for his radiant smile and the twinkle in his eyes that hinted at his lighthearted nature. At the age of 61, Jesse left us on June 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. As we remember him today, we can't help but smile, for as Mark Twain once said, "The secret of success is making your vocation your vacation."
Jesse spent his fruitful years in Midlothian, Texas, and was employed at MidTexas Auto Processors, where he was known for his diligent work as a facility maintenance worker. He was a man of many hats, but the one he wore with the most pride was being an ordained minister. His hobbies were as diverse as his personality, ranging from gun collecting and fishing to restoring his 1978 Ford Ranger. Jesse was a loyal Manchester United fan and found peace in the simple pleasures of gardening. His warm personality made him everyone's best friend, always ready to lend a listening ear or offer words of wisdom. It was as Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - that is to have succeeded."
Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Marisela Corbitt, and their cherished children, Joshua, Jacob, Genevieve, and Joseph Corbitt. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Shires, her husband Robert "Bob" Shires, his sister Jeanne Williams and her husband Gary Williams and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters in law. He was preceded in death by his parents, JD and Lois Corbitt, and his sister Pamela Stapleton and her husband Michael.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 6:00pm CDT at Midlothian Funeral Home, located at 200 East Avenue East, Midlothian, Texas, 76065. A graveside service will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 12:00pm CDT at Mount Zion Cemetery, 3211 Mount Zion Road, Midlothian, Texas, 76065.
As we remember Jesse, we invite you to share your fondest memories and photos on his memorial page. The stories you share will keep his spirit alive and remind us all of how he touched our lives. Let us remember Jesse with love, laughter, and the joy he brought into our lives.
