Rodie was preceded in death by her husband, Don L. Corbitt; her parents, Vada and Ernest Wilson; and her son, Jerell Owen Jr.
Marylin leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Donchele Corbitt; grandchildren Jerreckia Darden, Markecia Corbitt, Raymond Bevers, and Quanchico Parks; and great-grandchildren Terran Darden, Rayoni Evels, and Kyaire Jordan. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Alexander; nieces Shalythia, Keyonna, and Latika Alexander; her devoted sister, Ambassador Pastor Janet Ridley; nephew Harold "Karen" Blair; her devoted and loving niece, Dr. Nar'Keetha (Tutter) Cosby-Johnson; nephew Jasper (Jazz) "Yonee" Howard; and loving niece Janne' "MarTorry" Alexander. She also leaves behind her uncles, Howard and Michael Wilson, and John Willie; her aunt Lottie Marshall; and many extended family members.

Ms. Corbitt Marylin was a lovely person. She cared deeply for her family, especially her grandchildren but she was big on maintaining her independence. Would not allow her grandkids forfeit school to come take care of her. She had a heart of peace and love. Rest In Peace Ms. Corbitt
