Jesse William Edmiston Jr.

Jesse William Edmiston Jr., 87, of Boyce, VA, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Lynn Care Center in Front Royal, VA.
Jesse was born April 16, 1937 in Altoona, PA, the son of the late Jesse W. Edmiston Sr. and Alice Edmiston. He married Anna Mary Rinker April 19, 1958 in Altoona. She preceded him in death in 2011. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of the American Legion as well as the CB Radio Club. He attended Word of Life Ministries. He loved God, his wife, and his family. He was an avid Elvis Presley fan.
He is survived by his children, Lora L. McClure (William) of Stephenson, VA, Joseph W. Edmiston (Laura) of Gore, VA, Jesse W. Edmiston III (Teresa) of Gore, VA, Ellen E. Edmiston (Antonio Martinez) of Winchester, VA, and Brenda L. Whitacre (David) of Inwood, WV; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and his half sister Isabelle.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Whitacre officiating. Pallbearers will be Christopher Edmiston, Ethan Edmiston, Antonio Edmiston, Jesse Edmiston IV, Conner Hearty, and Michael "Sport" Ward. Burial will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
