Jesse William Cheyenne Frye, 33, passed away peacefully and bravely from illness on July 6, 2025, at his sister and brother-in-law's home. Born on March 9, 1992, in Tallahassee, Florida, it was clear from the beginning that Jesse's was a life destined for highs and lows, sharing joys and frustrations with the many people he loved. He began life as a curious, active, charming, and mischievous child who explored the world around him, took risks, and got in lots of trouble. That's how Jesse lived: full of life and full steam ahead. All his life, Jesse loved cars (and anything with wheels), country music (especially the classic honky-tonk artists), and the outdoors (where he loved to swim and make bonfires). He lived in many places in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, but he described his favorite place as the mountains. Jesse worked many jobs over the years, from maintenance man to delivery driver. Brilliant and skilled, there was nothing Jesse couldn't fix, even if sometimes he had to fix it again! Intelligent in so many ways, Jesse was the one to always find a solution. Most of all, Jesse loved his family; this was his proudest and most cherished accomplishment. Jesse was a proud father of two boys and four girls who often worked two jobs to make sure his children had what they needed. His children were the light of his life, and he was the "softy" parent when troubles arose. Jesse was the adult all the kids ran to first. They knew Jesse would be the one to pull the off-the-wall prank, joke, or trick with them. This was Jesse: always riding the edge of fun and trouble. While Jesse was a flawed soul, he was also the one so many turned to in need of a laugh, a listening ear, or a shoulder to cry on (even at 6'7" tall). His legendary bear hugs weren't just larger than life; each one bestowed the love he felt. He had patience, grace, and understanding of what people go through in the tricky adventure we call life. Further, Jesse was warm, loud, affectionate, generous, demonstrative, and full of emotion and expression. Jesse had a legendary sense of humor, often quoting his favorite movies, voicing characters, and quipping jokes. Even when he was terminally ill, Jesse's humor brightened the medical staff who took care of him. Jesse was also a faithful "ride or die" friend to the end. While there are too many loyal friends to name individually, they include Johnny and Monte, and lifelong friends Noah and Justin, who were there through the good times and bad as was Jesse with them. Maybe when one lives life so full, the candle burns out too soon, such as the life of our Jesse. At the end of his life, he courageously accepted his next chapter and expressed a heart of forgiveness. Jesse, along with his former partner Corrine Fuller, and his current love, Victoria Albinger, had learned to bridge what quite often is impossible. They had all become close in their endeavors to not just effectively co-parent but do so with friendship and true caring. Jesse was preceded in death by his mother, Sammy Anne Collins, as well as all of his grandparents. Jesse is survived by his father Gregory Joseph Frye, stepfather, William "Mike" Kahl, sisters, Christina Johnson and Melinda Stanwood, and children, Avery Frye, Kailyn Perry, Conner Frye, Kassidy Frye, Savannah Frye and Jessilyn Frye. He was also a beloved nephew to John Collins, Suzy Collins, Dana Frye, and Bobby Frye, as well as a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear cousins (including Jaylin, AJ, Hailey, Casey, Cody, Shari, Charlotte, Bradley, Benjamin, and many more) who all miss him terribly. It is with his legacy we will keep his memory alive. We implore loved ones to continue to share the "Jesse" stories and pictures forthcoming with not only his beloved children but with future generations. May he now rest in the arms of his cherished mother, Sammy, who preceded him in death by a mere few months, as well as the beloved grandmother who doted on him, Maryanne "Tepa" Collins. We find solace that they are all together again.
