Jesse Winfield Hodges, Jr., age 81, of Lanexa, Virginia, formerly of Hampton, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Meredith Hodges; one sister, Rinda Keck; one brother, Delano Hodges; his two daughters, Debbie H. Koski and Wendy E.H. Norwood; seven grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Winfield Hodges and Polly Murphy Hodges; and his son, John Meredith Hodges.
Jesse retired from the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station in 2009, after 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their place at Lake Gaston, and was an avid UNC Tarheels fan.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 18 at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocohontas Trail, Providence Forge VA 23140. A private graveside service will be held in the Spring at Rocky Run Methodist Church in DeWitt VA.
