Jesse James Johnsen, 40, of Oconto, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022. He was born February 1, 1982, in Green Bay to Darrell and Lisa (Loritz) Johnsen. Jesse was a talented chef who shared his gift of cooking at many establishments in the Denmark, Green Bay, and Oconto communities. The greatest of his accomplishments was that of being a devoted and loving father to Katelyn, Payton, Samantha, and Levi.
Jesse was a die-hard Packer fan, and an avid golfer, but especially enjoyed the time he shared with his true love, Karissa. In addition to serving up great food, he never missed the opportunity to fill the lives of those around him with the joy he so effortlessly gave. He had the biggest heart in the world and will be missed dearly.
Jesse is survived by his grandmother, Jane Loritz; his parents, Darrell and Lisa Johnsen; his children: Katelyn (Danny Steger), Payton, Samantha, and Levi Johnsen; his brother, his brother, Ronald Michael (Rhonda) Johnsen and their children Elizabeth and Mallory; his life partner, Karissa Heffelfinger; and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald and Beryl Johnsen; his grandfather, Cyril Loritz, his former wife, Anna Johnsen (Geurts); and his uncle Darrell Siebert.
A celebration of Jesse's life will be celebrated Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Double Down Saloon, 110 E. Main Street, Denmark, WI 54208 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm.

What a great guy. I'm so devastated to hear this. We used to talk everyday at McDonald's and we always joked around. He was always smiling and I enjoyed talking to him
