Jesse E. Kalp, 75, of Acme passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday February 8, 2023. He was born on August 6,1947 in Acme, the only son of the late Jess and Hazel Anderson Kalp. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School. Mr. Kalp was employed as a coal miner and truck driver for most of his life. He was a member of the Polish Falcons Club of Mount Pleasant. Mr. Kalp is survived by his wife, Barbara Rozell Kalp; two children, Paul Richard Kalp and wife Tammy of Dover, Delaware and Susan M. Palmer and husband Tim of Nashville, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Ryan, Matthew and Katie Kalp and two sisters, Ava Siesky of Mount Pleasant and Dorothy Baughman of Louisa, Virginia. He was predeceased by sisters Joan Jones and Polly Hissem. Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 17 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Brooks Funeral Home located at 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant. A memorial service will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Reverend Oleh Seremchuk officiating. Interment will follow immediately thereafter at the Middle Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Mr. Kalp. His tribute page is accessible at http://act.alz.org/goto/Jesse_Kalp.
