Jessica & Aaliyah Perkins

Jessica Marie Perkins, 35, and her beloved daughter, Aaliyah Dianna Perkins, 13, passed away together on August 24, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Their lives were taken in a senseless act of violence that has left their family, friends, and community heartbroken.

Jessica was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She brought warmth and light to those around her. Her life was dedicated to her love for Aaliyah and everything she did was for her. She was a beautiful soul with a giving heart, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Aaliyah, at just 13, was a bright and spirited young girl with an incredible gift for art. She was an amazing young artist who loved to draw-often filling pages with her imagination and creativity. She also had a deep love for scary movies, Spider-Man, and spending time with her little cousins. With a great sense of humor and a fearless heart, Aaliyah brought joy, laughter, and inspiration to everyone lucky enough to know her. Her light was unmistakable, and her love will never be forgotten.

Jessica and Aaliyah are survived by Jessica's parents, Angela Perkins and James Perkins; her siblings Amanda Harley (husband Chaz Harley and their children Addie, Mimi and Lincoln), John Perkins (wife Taylor Perkins and daughter Maddie), and Joshua Perkins (fiancé Julia Williams and their children Malik and Leilani). They are also remembered with love by many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by their presence.

They were preceded in death by their beloved grandparents: Nanny and Papa, and John, Janet, and Benny.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday September 1st at Ozark Full Gospel Church (3081 Selmore Rd Ozark, MO 65721) followed by burial in Garrison Cemetery. Visitation will be held immediately before the service starting at 9:00 a.m.

All who knew and loved Jessica and Aaliyah are welcome to attend and help celebrate the lives they lived and the love they gave.
