Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel on Oct. 3, 2025.
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Jessica Dawn Arvieux, who left this world far too soon on September 8, 2025, at the age of 30. Born on August 28, 1995,
Jessica was a radiant presence. She was someone whose joy and energy lit up every room she entered. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and seen.
Jessica was full of life and love. She had a passion for cooking, especially Hawaiian cuisine, and delighted in trying out new recipes on her family and friends. A dedicated animal lover, she cared deeply for her beloved pets, Sitka and Jamison. Her love of music was evident in her extensive vinyl collection and her natural musical talent. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, often gathering at her mom's house for living room karaoke, movies, and food. She also enjoyed time with friends, whether it was karaoke, trivia, or discovering new restaurants.
An avid reader, Jessica maintained two impressive home libraries and had a special fondness for Stephen King novels. She also loved movies, whether catching the latest release in the theater or enjoying a quiet night in.
Jessica's inner beauty matched her outer glow. She was clever, quick-witted, (some might even say a little "spicy,") and had a strong will that served her well in all areas of life. Her academic achievements were impressive: she graduated high school with a 4.17 GPA while actively participating in the drama club and on the cheer team, a passion she had nurtured since first grade.
After high school, Jessica pursued her degree in criminal justice at the University of Oklahoma. She was a proud Sooner, often seen cheering on OU at games and events.
Faith was an important and evolving part of Jessica's journey. She began her spiritual life at Central Baptist Church where she attended with her family from the time she was a small child until she, with her family and friends, began attending Life.Church. She later also spent some time at Crossings. No matter where life took her, Jessica built meaningful connections and found community.
Jessica is survived by her fiance, Brad Watkins; her mother, Samantha Arvieux; her father, Paul D. Arvieux II; her sister, Ashley Carter; her brother, Zackery Arvieux and his fiance Lauren; her stepbrothers, Josh and John Carter; her stepfather, Tommy Carter; her grandparents, Paul D. Arvieux I and his wife Jolene; and many other cherished friends and family members.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Zelma and Alvin Williams, and her grandmother, Shirley Judd and other beloved family members. Jessica's vibrant spirit, boundless compassion, and infectious joy will never be forgotten. Her light continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help cover funeral expenses, which can be made through John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, 120 South Broadway,
