Jessie Carl Dorminey Jr.

Jessie Carl Dorminey, Jr., age 82, of Columbus, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Ridgecrest Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Columbus.
Mr. Dorminey was born on August 22, 1943 in St. Augustine, FL, the son of Jessie Carl and Ethel Virginia Dorminey. He was a retired truck driver with 47 years of service. His profession took him to every corner of the country. He was also a longtime member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Columbus. He served his country honorably as a mechanic in the US Army. He was a true provider for his family, and passed that work ethic on to his children and grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on cars. He adored time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Myrtice Milwood and Sylvia Conell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen Dorminey of Columbus; children, Angel and Stan Dorminey; grandson, Blake King; and great-grandchildren, Alexis and Mason King, and Carson and Brooke Dorminey; and sister, Marlene Ortegas.
