Mr. Jessie Freeman Parr, 42, of Elberton, GA and Young Harris, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA, with his family by his side.

Jessie and his twin brother, Jason Lee Parr, were born on January 13, 1982, to Jack Sanford Parr and Margie Nell Crane Parr. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, and playing with his dogs.

Surviving are his best friend and partner of almost 20 years, Chad Anderson of Young Harris, GA; mother and step-father, Margie and David Drake of Elberton, GA; siblings: Thomas Drake and his wife Debra of Elberton, GA and Tara Thigpen of Elberton, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack; twin brother, Jason.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 17, from 1:00-1:45p.m. at Berry Funeral Home in Elberton, GA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00p.m. in the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery in Maysville, GA.
