Jessie Geraldine Wright, 85, of Stroud, Oklahoma, passed away on September 22, 2025. She was born October 17, 1939, in Stroud to Leo and Wilda Alley and was a lifelong member of the community.

A 1957 graduate of Stroud High School, Jessie built her life around family, faith, and the simple joys she treasured. On December 29, 1968, she married Clifford Wright, with whom she shared more than five decades of love and partnership. Jessie worked 31 years for the City of Stroud.

Jessie was happiest outdoors—working in her yard, tending flowers, or simply “running around” and keeping busy. She enjoyed the excitement of horse races. Jessie also cherished the friendships she found in her Sunday school class and helping with funeral meals. Known for her reserved nature, she had a quiet strength and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by Clifford, her family, friends, and all who loved her.

Jessie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Clifford Wright; son Eddie Wright and wife Brenda; son Kevin Wright and wife Nancy; brother Leo “Sonny” Alley Jr; niece Lou Cooper; grandchildren Randy Wright, Jamie Inman, Amanda Tuttle, Bailey Clovis, Zachary Wright, Gage Wright, and Heidi Bounds; many great grandchildren; as well as many other extended family and friends.

Jessie was preceded in death by parents Leo Sr. and Wilda Alley; son Jerry “Randy” Wright; daughter Jaelyn Inlow; son Steven Wright; brother Delano Alley; sisters Norma Seitsinger, Betty Reed, and Leona Alley.
