Jie Qing Wong

Jie Q Wong of Westerly, RI, passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 62. She is survived by her husband, Kian K Wong, and her two sons & their partners, Kenny & Winnie and Kevin & Marissa. She will be deeply missed as a wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Jie dedicated her life to her family and community. She will be remembered for her ability to understand and share the feelings of others, sense of humor, and uncanny knack for making friends. She is also known for her love of sewing and cooking up her famous "spring rolls" for social events. She enjoyed spending late evenings out at the Mohegan Sun Casino's buffet and watching the midnight Chinese shows. She also enjoyed life's simple pleasures such as walking along the beach with her husband and watching the beautiful sunset. She proudly served as a teacher's assistant in the Westerly Public School System for over 20 years, where she found her passion for helping students and their families both inside and outside of the classroom.
A private service will be held for family and close friends.
