Jill Johnson Logan, age 71, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Born on August 20, 1952 in Austin, Texas, Jill was the daughter of Pearce and Sara Johnson. She spent her youth in Del Valle and the first 60 years of her life around the Austin area before moving to Dallas to be near family.
Jill attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning her Bachelors Degree in Home Economics and Textiles and her Masters Degree in Child Development/Family Relations.
Jill held many roles throughout her life but most treasured was that of mother and grandmother. Jill never passed up an opportunity to bake cookies or make her famous chocolate pie. She spent many hours outdoors with her plants and flowers. She was a gifted seamstress, creating beautiful clothing and costumes for her family. She was a great friend, always giving out advice and never beating around the bush. Her sense of humor and wit were always on display.
Jill is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her beloved daughter, Gina DAmore Ferguson and husband, Travis. Jills legacy lives on in her grandchildren, Georgia, Ruth, Hayes and Pearce.
Jills family would like to thank Faith Presbyterian Hospice for their wonderful care in the last days of her life as well as the community of believers at Bent Tree Bible that shared the love of Jesus so beautifully through their friendship and care.
A service to celebrate Jills life will be held at 11 A.M. on June 17th at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship 4141 International Parkway Carrollton, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Jills behalf to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
