Jill Osterbye

Jill Osterbye, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024, in Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ, at the age of 60. Born on June 28, 1964, in New Brunswick, NJ,
Jill grew up in a close-knit family and was predeceased by her father, Theodore Osterbye, her brother, Jeffery Osterbye, and her sister, Wendy Cunningham. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her devoted mother, Carol Zawistowski, and her loving husband, John Kmak. Jill's spirit will continue to be celebrated by her aunt, Harriet Brainard, her niece and nephew, Karl and Taylor and her brother-in-law Karl Cunningham along with her sister and brother in-laws, Robin & Richard Hosey, Lisa Lacey & Randy Gumpel, Brian & Nicole Kmak along with many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold Jill in their hearts.
Jill's passion for art was evident in every aspect of her life. She was an amazing artist whose talents extended to refurbishing old furniture, bringing new life and beauty to pieces that others had overlooked. Crafting was more than a hobby for Jill, it was a way of connecting with others, sharing her creativity, and making the world around her a more beautiful place.
Jill cherished the time spent with her loved ones, whether it was a quiet afternoon working on a new project or a lively family gathering. Her presence was a source of joy and comfort, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jill's kindness, laughter, and her artistic legacy will continue to inspire those she left behind.
Her life was a beautiful masterpiece, and she will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 14th, from 12-2pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg.
