Jill Paterson, 67, of Smithfield passed away on December 6th, 2024. She was the wife of Richard B. Iannitelli and the daughter of Norma (Carlton) Paterson and the late Walter Everett Paterson. She was the mother of Alex Iannitelli (Ted); and her son Benjamin Richard Iannitelli. She is survived by her sisters Leah Paterson-Smith; Tracey Paterson-Ovian (Craig); and her brother Walter R. Paterson; as well as her nieces Farah and Kristen; and nephews Travis and Brent.
She graduated Smithfield High School in 1975, and has a B.A. from Rhode Island College. She cherished spending the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas with her extended family. Jill loved to read and write. She was happily a perpetual novice at knitting prayer shawls and baby wraps as part of the Georgiaville Baptist Church Prayer Shawl Ministry. She loved Georgiaville Baptist's pot lucks, Easter Sunday Breakfasts, and Yankee Swap Christmas parties! She enjoyed rousing discussions at the Thursday Night Book Club at East Smithfield Public Library.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service, Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 10am in the Georgiaville Baptist Church, 100 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 4-7pm in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Home, 643 Putnam Pike, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity.
