Jill Scalice, 65, passed peacefully at home in Oakwood, Staten Island, NY, on March 24th, with her husband of nearly 40 years, Bob, by her side- after battling many illnesses.Jill was born in London, England, on December 24, 1957, to the late Bernard Adams and Alice Kate (Lear). She had 3 siblings, Susan, Tracey, and Steven (Frog), who will keep her memory alive every day. Jill's father was a sailor when he met her mom, and oddly enough, history would soon repeat itself. Jill and her sisters went on a girls trip to Florida, where she met and fellin love with Bob Scalice, similarly to her parents, so many years before. She then relocated fromEngland to the United States, where she married Bob and lived for many years on East 88th Street in Canarsie, Brooklyn. It was there that they had a son, Steven, whom she spent the rest of her years living for. Jill is survived by her husband Bob, son Steven, and loved pup Katie (named after Mum). She was the beloved sister of Susan, Tracey, and Steven; the cherished sister-in-law to Angelo, Daphne, and Michael. Jill was the treasured Aunt to Angelo and Nikki-Ann, as well as Great Aunt to their two children, Eleanora and Sophia. Back home in England, she leaves behind her nephews Zachary, Shaun, and Lee, as well as her Great Nephews Alex, Tom, and Arlo, along with her nieces Charlotte and Holly, great niece Millie, and many other extended family members.Jill was a homemaker, wife, and mother. She loved spending many of her days planting her flowers, fixing everything that needed fixing (she had all her own tools), and enjoying time in herbackyard.Along with being a loving wife and mother, Jill was also an amazing sister, and the most incredible aunt. She was an incredibly compassionate and beautiful soul, who was loved by all who knew her. She was unique and beautiful, and had a way about her that is so hard to describe, and impossible to emulate. Jill was one of a kind, and her presence will always be felt by those whose lives she touched. Viewing will be at The Hanley Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 2-4 and7-9. Funeral will be on Thursday, March 30, 2023, service at 11 am at The Hanley Funeral Home, followed by the burial at Moravian Cemetery
