November 22, 1931 – November 7, 2025
Jeanne Campbell Ciocco, 93, of Grant City, Staten Island, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on November 7th, surrounded by love.
Born on November 22, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, Jeanne was the daughter of William Jackson Campbell and Ellenor Field Campbell. She graduated from Washington Irving High School in Manhattan and earned her nursing diploma from The Brooklyn Hospital School of Nursing.
Jeanne began her nursing career in the operating room at Brooklyn Hospital. While raising her family, she continued to care for others through her work at Sunnyside Hospital, Doctor's Hospital, and finally Vanderbilt Nursing Home, where she served with compassion until her retirement.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Benjamin Ciocco Jr.; her four children, Ronald Benjamin (Rossana), Robert William, Patricia Jean, and John Michael (Maggie); and her beloved grandchildren, Lauren Ciocco Fiore (Michael), Vanessa Pauline Ciocco, Michael William Benjamin Ciocco, and Christopher John Curry Ciocco. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, as well as her brothers, William Jackson Jr. and James Robert, and their spouses.
A faithful communicant of St. Christopher and St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church in Staten Island, Jeanne will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. She was deeply loved by her husband, who mourns the loss of his lifelong sweetheart; by her children, to whom she was a steadfast source of love, guidance, and support; and by her grandchildren, who will cherish memories of holidays and special moments spent together.
Her gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to her family will be treasured always.
Viewing will take place at the Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY on Wednesday, November 12th from 4-8pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Church of Saint Christopher and Saint Margaret Mary 130 Midland Avenue, Staten Island, NY on Thursday, November 13th at 10:30AM.
