Jill Creamer Uphaus, age 65, of Troy, AL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, following a long battle with kidney disease. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Brother Mark Grizzard officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Bonds, Clint Ziglar, Max Koslofsky, Scott Sexton, Dillan Ziglar, and Nolan Martin.

Jill was born to George Darke and Phyllis Jean Hopkins Creamer on July 27, 1959, in Connersville, Indiana, where she graduated from Connersville High School. She met her husband and best friend, Ric Uphaus of Richmond, Indiana, in Ohio. They married on June 26, 1982, and had two daughters, Karrie and Maggie.

Jill was one of the most amazing people to ever walk this Earth. She was kind, compassionate, loving, and honest. She had a heart of gold, and you knew this if you were lucky enough to have gotten to know her. Jill retired from Troy City Schools as the Secretary-Bookkeeper for Troy Pike Center for Technology. She was the most loving and attentive mother; regardless, of the activity, whether that be school, projects, or anything the girls wanted to do, Jill was there supporting them and encouraging them from infancy on into adulthood. She loved her family, being on the lake, and all animals, but especially dogs…all of the dogs!

Jill is survived by her daughters, Karrie Uphaus Ziglar (Clint) of Jack, AL, and Maggie Uphaus Bonds (Dylan) of Creek Stand, AL; brother, Geoff Creamer (Ramona) of Englewood, FL; sisters, Jean Ann Conley of Dublin, OH, and Janelyn Sebree (Stewart) of Foley, AL; sister-in-law, Pam Creamer of Connersville, IN; granddaughter, Meri Klaire Ziglar; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Jim Creamer, and brother-in-law, Bill Conley.

A special thank you must be provided to her Hospice Nurse, Ashley Jacobs, and Nurse Practitioner, Laura Bell, for providing her with the most amazing care in her last couple of years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to Troy Animal Rescue Project (troyanimalrescueproject.org) or Chick-N-Pups Canine Crusade (PayPal [email protected]).

The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Uphaus family.
