Remembering Jillian ~
Jillian Renae Branciforte, beloved daughter, sister, fiancée, and educator passed away suddenly on September 6, 2024. She is survived by her parents, James & Debra Branciforte; sister, Chloe (Matt Sauter) Branciforte; brother, Zachary (Amanda Braun) Branciforte; fiancé, Chris Blyth, his parents, Geoff & Tammy Blyth, and sister, Elizabeth Blyth; uncle Mike; aunts Sheila and Kathy; and cousins, Franci and Cam. She was loved by her teaching team and special friends Tash and Juni, Tracie, Kristen, Deb, and so many others. Jillian loved her favorite pup, Ellie.
Jillian was born March 2, 1995, and raised in a home full of love with her parents, siblings, and grandparents. She was the baby of the family and her siblings were immediately smitten with her and loved her with all their hearts. She was an avid cheerleader in all definitions of the word from Hilton Raiders, Hilton Varsity, and to all her friends and family. Jillian was always ready with a kind smile, a plan of action, an organized binder, and dessert. One of Jillian's goals was to pet every good dog, they're all good dogs, but she reserved the most love and pets for her Ellie.
Jillian loved education, including her own. She graduated from Hilton High School in 2013, completed her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at St. John Fisher University in 2017, and her Master of Science in Education at Nazareth College in 2019. Her life of good works included years of volunteering with the Teddi Dance for Love, and most recently with Fairy Godmothers of Rochester. She was a voracious reader and was raised to love a library, a good book, and learning new things.
Jillian was a fashionista and loved colors-especially pink, polka dots, and bows, and she could find a way to create a new outfit from anything. She and her sister Chloe had an uncanny ability to find the same item of clothing no matter how far away from one another they were.
Jillian loved to travel and had hoped to see the world. She studied abroad at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain and traveled throughout Europe. Closer to home, she loved a road trip, especially to Disney World and to visit family and friends.
Jillian loved trying new foods and cooking new things, instilled in her by her big brother, Zach. She was an avid collector of new recipes online but also making traditional family recipes from her parents and grandparents.
Jillian was a passionate teacher in the Greece Central community as an English as a New Language educator. She was a fierce advocate for her students even after they left her classroom. She never tired of fighting for the right thing. She was so proud to play a significant role in the Greece Central community especially with her team of co-educators. Her colleagues remember her as a vibrant and positive presence at Greece Olympia where she taught the Newcomer Program with genuine care for her students and their families.
Jillian was so excited to marry Chris in December 2024, a winter wedding with pine trees, snowflakes, and so many bows. They were so excited to share their joy in each other with their friends and family.
A celebration of Jillian's life and love will be held from 3:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11th at Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home at 1411 Vintage Lane. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jillian's name to Greece Olympia High School, St. John Fisher College or a charity of your choice.
Love. Amor. Lanmou. Amour. Milosc. Pag-ibig. ái tình.
I have seen your
darkest nights
and brightest days
and I want you to know
that I will be here
forever
loving you

Expressing my deepest sympathies to Chris and the Branciforte family. I had the pleasure of cheering with Jill at Fisher. She was the kindest soul and I can still hear her laugh and see her smile. She really was a beautiful person inside and out. It hurts my heart that her life was cut so short. She will always be a part of my memories from Fisher, and will deeply be missed by all who knew her.

I had the pleasure of working with Jillian during English classes. She was so patient with the students. My last memory was all of the ENL teachers were outside at the end of the school year last year and we were all talking and laughing. The students were kicking the soccer ball around. My sincere condolences to her family and fiance'.

I only briefly worked with Jill at Olympia when she first began working there. I remember her being a great advocate for her students as we often shared several students with IEPs. My deepest condolences to her family, friends, colleagues and fiancé during this difficult time.

When I met Jill, I couldn't have guessed it was her first year teaching because of how poised, calm, and confident she was. I've gotten the pleasure of meeting her multiple times as I became an educator. She was the first smiling face I saw when I started student teaching at Greece Olympia during her first year there and told me that I was going to love it there. I then saw her again years later when I was student teaching in the district's ENL summer program. She once again smiled and said I was going to love it. I'll never forget the way she talked about her job and the joy it brought her. Jill was always enthusiastic about her students and was super involved in giving them as many opportunities in life as possible. She was always there, not just for her students, but for other teachers and anyone who asked for help, which I did multiple times. As a teacher, I think it's safe to say that we all needed a teacher like Jill around to remind us to deep breath and smile because everything was going to be ok.

She is going to be so missed in our school community and I know that her spirit and charisma are going to live on in each soul that she got to inspire on this earth. I am so sorry that she is gone, but may her memory last in all of us forever.

I usually help translating for the district and I have the wonderful opportunity of working with Jill. Working with her just a few times was more than enough to realized what a wonderful beautiful sweet person and teacher she was. This is a loss that will be difficult for me to deal with.
Will forever treasure sweet memories of you Jillian..

Jill was a colleague of mine here at Olympia. She was always was very friendly and every time when I saw her in passing we would always say hello and ask how each other was doing. She always seemed happy and seemed to enjoy her job. My condolences to her family and her fiancé Chris.

Jill came to observe/shadow me at Olympia before she graduated from St. John Fischer. Soon after that, she became a colleague, my ENL leader, my "school momma", a dear friend, someone who I deeply admired, respected and loved. It is a huge honor to have met, worked, and called her my friend. She was a beautiful human being with a larger than life soul. She was good to peers, kids, animals, etc. It might not be fair, but I think in God's eyes, she achieved her life mission successfully, with lots of grace and love. We weren't ready to see her go. It was too soon. I guess the good ones go first. She was a real angel on Earth. Jilly Bean, you are missed and you will never be forgotten. Thank you for everything. With lots of love, Deb daSilva.

Jill was my next door neighbor. She was always friendly and smiling. I wish I had gotten to know her better; however, my daughter was one of her students in NJHS and then had her for ELA this year. Jill would often have little chats with my daughter at school and at home. She was always supportive of her and they began to develop a relationship. My daughter was ecstatic she was her ELA teacher this year and we are both devastated by this news. If she had this much impact on my daughter in just a couple short years, I can´t imagine all of the lives she impacted. This is a tremendous loss for our community, and Jill will be dearly missed.

I was blessed to be an ENL colleague of Jill´s and was touched by her friendship, kind heart, and great love for her students. Working in sister schools, we often shared the same families as students and I was able to experience first hand Jill´s heart and compassion, especially for our Newcomer students. Her impact will never be forgotten. On a more personal note, I considered Jill a "sister thrifter" and enjoyed texting and receiving photos of our Goodwill finds! Many of our conversations consisted of taking turns rattling off where we thrifted each item we were wearing! Jill was so lively and full of fun and she brought so much joy to those of us lucky enough to know her. Sending so much love and prayers for comfort to all.

Our family has known the Branciforte family for many years. Not only are they our neighbors but our son went to school with Zach. Jillian was always a sweet, bright and talented young lady. A conversation was animated and informative when she spoke about what she was doing. Our hearts are broken for the family and know there is very little comfort at this time. You are all in our thoughts and hope that sweet memories will brighten the days ahead.
