Jim Biles Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Healy Chapel Funeral & Cremation Services - Sugar Grove Facility on Nov. 25, 2024.
James R. Biles, of Sugar Grove, passed away on November 22, 2024. He was born on November 14, 1976 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to William P. Biles and Carrie (Doerty) Gladish.
Jim was a humble man with a great, loving heart. His greatest joys were his family and his cats. He especially loved being around his nieces and nephews, and the highlight of his day was the way his cats would greet him when he came home. Jim loved to be outdoors, appreciating nature and all of the animals in it. He enjoyed the challenge of fishing as well. In his younger days, he had a passion for all types of model airplanes and cars. He was a big country music fan and an avid Cubs fan. Jim was faced with health challenges in life, but he didn't let that stop him from finding enjoyment in it. He embraced life to the fullest, spreading joy and humor that never failed to leave those around him laughing
Jim is survived by his father, William P. Biles and step-mother, Marilin Biles, and his mother, Carrie (Doerty) Gladish. In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his sister, Heather Walker; his brothers, Paul (Melissa) Biles, Lawrence (Rebecca) Biles, and Thomas (Jenny) Biles; his beloved nieces and nephews, Ethan, Audrey, Noah, Andrew, Luke, Camden, Alexander, Brody, Heidi, Henry, and Everett; his grandparents, Carolyn Doerty and Roberto and Daisy Rodriguez; his uncles, Brian (Sandy) Doerty, Kevin (Amber) Doerty, Roberto Rodriguez, and Carlos (Krista) Rodriguez, his aunt, Luanne Biles; and his beloved cats, Max and Kit.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter L. Doerty and grandparents James Robert Biles and Patsy Lenora Biles as well as his aunts, Melanie Doerty and Leslie Slight.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 9 AM to 11 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8S055 Dugan Rd., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. A funeral Mass will immediately follow the visitation at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
