James Thomas Blaney of New Port Richey, FL died suddenly on January 2, 2024, at his sister's home in Freeport, NY.

To the entire Blaney family, I was stunned & so sadden to hear of Jim´s passing. I send my deepest condolences to each of you, especially to you, Mary, his Mom. Jim & I shared many years & wonderful times together. I remember the scrappy years, as kid growing up, houses backing up to each other. We even lived very near each other in Rockville Centre, when the kids were little. I remember our life guarding years & beach days. It was Jim who persuaded me to visit him at his home in New Port Richey in Oct. 2010. Ultimately & coincidentally, I bought a home down the street on Headsail Dr. - neighbors again! Jim was always there for me, when needed. He has & will forever be in my heart & prayers. May God Bless you all in your time of grief.

My husband went to college with Jimmy where they shared a lot of laughs. Mike grew up on a farm so his "city " friends soon became acquainted with the farm, corn on the cob and grilled steaks. Mike and I made a trip to NY where the Blaneys were our family so welcoming and ushered us to the he "sights," of NYC. Thank you Jimmy. Thank you Blaney family

Mrs. Blaney, Mary, Tracie, Jack and Jeremy,
I was sorry to hear about the passing of your son/brother and uncle. I heard a little about him while working at OHR. What I did not know in those years was that my husband went to Brooklyn Prep with Jim and was also Facebook friends with him. You and your family will be in our prayers over the coming days.

I remember Jim as a polite gentleman as we were attending Brooklyn Prep. I also knew the family as I was their paper boy on Miller Avenue
