Jim K. Moffitt

Jim K Moffitt, 77, passed away on February 28, 2022 at his home in Perry, Utah.
He was born November. 28, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Leo Jack and Dora Burningham Moffitt. He was the third of five children. He married Sharon Bessinger on May 27, 1967.
Jim served in the Vietnam War from November 1961, through March 1966 and was awarded a purple heart during his service in the war.
Jim co-owned and operated North Star Construction and Star Marine up until his retirement.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Nondus Holland; father-in-law, Clarence Bessinger; one brother, Hal Moffitt, and brother-in-law, Steven Bessinger.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Tim (Kim) Moffitt, Todd (Wendy) Moffitt and Chad Moffitt; four grandchildren, Logan, Sadie (Hunter), Brady (Madee) and Tyler Moffitt; one great-grandchild, Adrianne Moffitt; siblings, Bert (Cheryl) Moffitt, Vickie Mauchley, and Holly Dahle.
The family wishes to thank Altas for providing home care and Encompass for providing hospice care. We would also like to thank everyone for their kindness shown during this difficult time.
In honor of Jim’s wishes there will not be a public service. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
