Verla Diane Lythgoe Bills

Verla Diane Lythgoe Bills passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by her three loving children.

Verla was born on January 9, 1942, to Howard W. and Verla Jones Anderson Lythgoe.

She married the love of her life, Roger Dennison Bills, on August 29, 1956, and they were later sealed in the Logan Temple on December 10, 1963.

Verla was the devoted mother of six children, Denise (Steve) Darby, Roger Kent (Charlette) Bills, Denis Scot, Emmett Eugene (Teresa) Bills, Donna Bills Jensen, and Michael Duane Bills. She was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Throughout her career, Verla worked in customer service for Fanny Farmer, Grand Central, Sierra Lingerie, and Convergys.

Verla is survived by her loving posterity and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years; her parents and her three siblings, Darlene (Dean) Lindley, Amelia (Jesse) Stone, and Howard (Julie) Lythgoe. She also felt the deep loss of three of her children, Denis Scot (1960), Donna (1996), and Michael Duane (2004). Verla was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, West Warren Cemetery.
