James A. "Jim" Wooldridge, age 86 of Buchanan, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Fairview Baptist Church, 114 Memorial Dr., Paris, TN 38242, with Bro. John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM on Friday at the church prior to the service.

James A. Wooldridge was born on October 13, 1938, in Tutwiler, MS, to the late Kenneth and Gladys Gray Wooldridge. On November 10, 1994, he married Sue Clark Wooldridge, who survives in Buchanan.

Jim was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army National Guard, serving for 31 years. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where he served as a past song leader and Sunday School teacher since 1994.

In addition to his wife, Jim is also survived by his daughter, Melanie Morton of MS; sons: Daniel Wooldridge of MS, Marshall Wooldridge of MS, and Wesley Wooldridge of TN; sister, Evelyn Robison of MS; stepchildren: Beth (John) Velazquez of Puryear, Barbara Ann Clark of AZ, Dr. Ben (Noreene) Clark of Pensacola, FL, Robert "Bob" (Susan) Clark of Paris, KY, James "Brian" (Stacy) Clark of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; thirteen step great-grandchildren; and five step great-great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wooldridge, Jr.; one step-grandchild; and one step-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers for Mr. Wooldridge will be Andy McBee, Jimmy Green, Bob Clark, Brian Clark, Jae Morton, Brad Broadway, and John Velazquez.

Memorials for Mr. Wooldridge may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 114 Memorial Dr., Paris, TN 38242.
