Jimmie L. Feezor, 79, of Marion, formerly of Herrin, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at his daughter's home in Creal Springs.
Jimmie was a self-employed Farrier and Horse Trainer. He was a member of Horseman's Benevolent and Protective Association and the American Quarter Horse Association.
Jimmie was an avid horseman and family man. He loved old cars, time spent in the barn, time in the saddle, going to the racetrack and to sale barns. He took particular care of his horses and family events were always scheduled around "feeding time". He spent the last years of his life caring for family, riding his horse, Lucky, and going to his granddaughters' horse shows and rodeos; despite his health.
Jimmie was born January 16, 1945 in Herrin, Illinois to James L. & Sue M. (Smith) Feezor.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Roxann & Tim Arnold of Creal Springs; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Amy Feezor of Herrin and Cody Feezor & Charlee Reynolds of Creal Springs; seven grandchildren, Devan Feezor, Destiny Hoyle, Isaac Shepard, James Feezor & Macy Walker, Luke White & Megan, Halle Koker & Collin, Paisleigh Feezor; fourteen great grandchildren, Carson White, River White, Bryer White, Heston Shadowens, Hayden Shadowens, Ellie Koker, Claire Koker, Sage Koker, Josie Arnold, Crue Arnold, Maisey Hutson, Leon Feezor, Juniper Pierce, and a great granddaughter on the way; brother, Reggie Feezor of Herrin; several nieces and nephews; and too many close friends to mention.
He was preceded in death by son, Travis L. Feezor; his parents; and brother, Rocky Feezor; and great grandchild, Kamden Feezor.
Jimmie's wishes were to be cremated; a graveside memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024 at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy with Pastor Brian Duty officiating. `A Time of Gathering of Family and Friends will be following the graveside service at V.F.W. Post #9763, 16217 Sulphur Springs Road, Creal Springs, 62922.
