Jim attended Wewoka High school graduating in 1964. He attended Oklahoma State University the following year for one year before joining the United States Airforce serving honorably for 20 years. He was stationed in the Philippines during the Vietnam war and later stationed in Fulda Germany. After retiring from the Air Force, he continued doing what he loved and that was working with the military and the veterans where he worked in the VFW and served as State Adjutant-Quartermaster.
He married Kathy DeArmond on April 21, 2002 in Tarrant, Texas. He was a loving husband and loving uncle.
Survivors include his wife Kathy (DeArmond) Mann of Eufaula, Oklahoma; sister Dayna Lee Bryant of Durant, Oklahoma and nephew Trey Bryant of Dallas, Texas.
A memorial gathering will be held at 11:30AM on Monday, January 29, 2024 at McElyea & Owens Funeral Group in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The VFW will be doing the honors of presenting the flag.
Cremation services have been selected.
