Mary Jane Langston

Mary Langston of Marietta, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the age of 60. She was born on Thursday, September 24, 1964 in Tulia, Texas to Vernie and Gerald Prater.
She was raised all over the states of Texas and Oklahoma before settling in Marietta, Oklahoma. She married David Langston on March 8th, 2014.
After marriage, she spent 15 plus years working at The Red Rooster and Denims restaurant. Later, she began working at Sonic Drive-In in Marietta as a morning cook and manager, where she served for 11 years. She was the heart and soul of the kitchen and everyone who knew her loved her.
In her spare time she loved to garden and scrapbook. She also loved to be with her sisters, her kids, and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband David Langston; parents Gerald and Vernie Prater; 3 brothers Caroll, Gerald Don, Marvin; and 2 sisters Paula and Patsy.
Survivors include her daughter April Balderas and husband James of Wichita Falls, Texas; son Sam Howard and wife Haley of Marietta, Oklahoma; 3 grandsons Alex, Matthew, Lucas; 3 sisters; a brother; as well as other extended family and friends.
