Jimmie Ann Porter

PORTER - Jimmie Ann Porter, age 84, of Monroe, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 15th, 2025. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd from 9:00 am-11:00 am at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Monroe. A funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Tim Stewart in Monroe on Saturday August 23rd at 11:00am. Interment will be on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 10 AM at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 722 Conley Rd, Forest Park, GA 30297. Jimmie enjoyed camping in the great outdoors. She was a shopper and was well known for browsing the aisles at Kohls. She enjoyed teaching, which she was a substitute teacher in the Jackson County School area. Jimmie was actively involved in her church community and loved being in her Sunday School Class and being on the worship team. She was previously a member of Mountain Park First Baptist Church, Stone Mountain, GA. She loved her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Jimmie was well loved by many friends and family. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. Jimmie is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Crawford and Francis Elizabeth (Walters) Reed. Jimmie is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Michael Porter; children, Beth (Wesley) Speights and Christopher (Kelly) Stovall; stepchildren, Jeffery (Tammy) Porter, Stephen (Vickey) Porter; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and brother Dannie (Janet) Reed.
