Jimmie was devoted to his county, serving 26 years in the United States Air Force, with a specialty in Radar Systems. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He also received two Bachelor’s degrees - one in Business and one in Electronics. Additionally, in his early military years, he led a successful side career within the real estate industry.
After retirement he enjoyed “watching the grass grow”. He loved tending to his garden and could always be found with a good book in his hand. He loved spending time with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. He was always full of stories and jokes, loved a good card game, admired pecan orchards and the simple beauties in life.
